Oman is a fresh Gulf option with a real, comprehensive regime - the Financial Services Authority, formerly the Capital Market Authority, has built a Virtual Assets Framework covering exchanges, tokens and ICOs, and already requires VASPs to register and meet AML rules. It is newer than its neighbours, and that is part of the appeal. We build the company and the licence end to end.
Updated
A fresh, comprehensive Gulf regime.
Oman is one of the newest entrants to Gulf crypto regulation, and it has done it properly. Its regulator - the Financial Services Authority, which took over from the Capital Market Authority - announced a Virtual Assets Regulatory Framework, ran public consultations through 2023 and into 2025, and designed it to license all categories of virtual-asset service provider under a single supervisory system. The framework is built to cover the full range - crypto assets, tokens, crypto exchanges and initial coin offerings - not a narrow slice.
Ahead of the full framework settling, the FSA already required VASPs to register and to meet enhanced anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorist-financing obligations under its earlier decision - so the AML floor is real today, not a promise. What you build is an Omani company, the FSA registration or licence for your activity, and the compliance behind it - governance, AML and the operational controls the regulator expects - on a 15% corporate-tax base inside a stable Gulf economy. Because the regime is new, moving early is an advantage, and we build to the standard the FSA is setting.

The Oman crypto regime, answered honestly.
Does Oman regulate crypto?+
Yes - the FSA, which took over from the Capital Market Authority, built a comprehensive Virtual Assets Regulatory Framework covering exchanges, tokens and ICOs, and already requires VASPs to register and meet AML rules. It is a real, if new, regime.
Is the framework fully settled?+
It is newer than its Gulf neighbours and still bedding in, developed through consultations into 2025. The AML registration floor is live today; we keep your file current as the detailed rules settle.
What does it cover?+
The framework was designed to license all VASP categories - crypto exchanges, tokens and initial coin offerings - under one supervisory system, not a narrow slice.

How is it taxed?+

Why choose Oman over the UAE or Bahrain?+
For a fresh, comprehensive framework and a first-mover position in a stable economy. The UAE and Bahrain are more established; Oman is newer, which suits operators who want to be early and build the regulator relationship.
How long does it take?+
It depends on the activity and the state of the rules, and the regime is new - realistically several months. A strong governance and AML file is what keeps the FSA engagement moving.
