Get a crypto license in Jordan.
Jordan has a brand-new virtual-assets law - and we say so plainly. Law No. 14 of 2025 put VASP licensing under the Jordan Securities Commission, and the JSC has opened its application process. The regime is real but young, and the central bank still restricts crypto in banking - so precedent is thin. We prepare the JSC licence, run the company and AML now, and pair a UAE hub where you need an operational permission today. We structure it honestly.
Updated
A new law in force - young, and honestly handled.
Jordan's stance on crypto changed in 2025. For years the Central Bank of Jordan warned against virtual currencies and barred banks and financial institutions from dealing in them. Then the government moved from caution to a framework: Law No. 14 of 2025, Regulating Dealings in Virtual Assets, took effect on 14 September 2025 and placed virtual-asset service providers under the Jordan Securities Commission. Implementing rules followed - Regulation No. 94 of 2025 on VASP licensing, and financial- and capital-adequacy instructions phased in across 2026. Only companies, not individuals, can be licensed, and core activities - issuance, brokerage, running an exchange, custody and transfer - need JSC authorisation.
So Jordan now has a dedicated licence, but it is early days. The JSC opened an electronic pre-approval process while supporting instructions were still being finalized through 2026, which means precedent is thin and the practical route runs through close engagement with the regulator. There is also a real limitation to be candid about: the central bank keeps authority over payments and fiat, and its restrictions on banks dealing in crypto have not vanished, so local banking for a crypto business remains hard. Our honest recommendation is to build the Jordanian company and its AML programme, prepare and file the JSC application, and - where you need a proven, operational permission today - pair a licensed regional hub such as the UAE while Jordan's regime matures.

Two workstreams: the Jordanian company plus AML base that operates now, and the JSC VASP application under the new Law No. 14 of 2025. We scope both before any work begins, and we are candid that the regime is young.

Taxation of crypto companies in Jordan.
No crypto-specific corporate levy - company profits carry Jordan's 20% corporate rate, with higher rates for banks and some financial and telecom activity, so the position is planned deliberately.
Most companies carry a 20% corporate income tax. It is a mid-range rate for the region, which we model from the start rather than treat as an afterthought. Most companies at Jordan's corporate rate.
Banks are taxed around 35%, and some financial, insurance and telecom activity carries higher rates. Where a VASP is treated as a financial business, we check the bracket carefully.Banks ~35%; some sectors carry more.
A national-contribution surcharge applies on top of income tax for certain sectors and income bands, which we factor into the model.A sector-specific surcharge, factored in.

The Jordan crypto licence, answered honestly.
Can I get a crypto licence in Jordan?+
Yes, newly. Law No. 14 of 2025 put VASP licensing under the Jordan Securities Commission, and the JSC has opened an application process. The regime is real, but young - precedent is still thin.
Was crypto not banned in Jordan?+
The central bank warned against it for years and barred banks from dealing in it. The 2025 law changed the picture by regulating virtual-asset services under the JSC - though the banking restrictions have not fully gone away.
Who can be licensed?+
Companies, not individuals. Core activities - issuance, brokerage, running an exchange, custody and transfer - need JSC authorisation, so a governed company with real substance is the right vehicle.
Is the regime fully operational?+
It is in force, with licensing rules published and an electronic pre-approval process open, but supporting instructions phased in across 2026. In practice it is bedding in, which is why we engage the regulator closely.
What about banking?+
This is the honest caveat. The central bank still restricts banks from dealing in crypto, so local banking is hard. We plan accounts around that and often pair a UAE hub for operational flows.
Should I pair another jurisdiction?+
Often, yes. Where you need a proven, operational permission today, we pair a licensed regional hub such as the UAE while Jordan's young regime matures, and sequence both.
How are crypto companies taxed?+
A 20% corporate rate for most companies, higher for banks and some financial activity, with a national-contribution surcharge on certain sectors. No crypto-specific code has settled yet.
Why Jordan with you?+
Because the regime is new and the detail matters: the JSC file, the AML programme, the banking plan. We build to standard and are candid about what the young framework can and cannot do yet.
Can I get a licence in Jordan?+
Yes, newly - JSC VASP licence under Law 14/2025.
Was crypto not banned?+
The central bank was cautious; the 2025 law regulates it.
Who can be licensed?+
Companies, not individuals - core activities need the JSC.
Fully operational?+
In force but young - rules phased in across 2026.
Banking?+
The honest caveat - CBJ still restricts; we plan around it.
Pair another jurisdiction?+

Company taxes?+
20%, higher for banks and some financial activity.
Why with us?+
New regime, detail matters - we build to standard.
