Register a company in Serbia, the Balkan trade bridge.
Set up a Serbian DOO remotely: €1 capital, a registry that works in days, 15% corporate tax with an IP Box at an effective 3%, and the region's rarest asset - duty-friendly access to the EU, the EAEU, China and Turkey at once. One flag, four trade worlds.
Serbia holds a position nobody else in Europe does: association access to the EU market, a free-trade agreement with the Eurasian Economic Union, another with China since 2024, more with Turkey and CEFTA - one Belgrade company shipping duty-friendly in every direction the compass offers. Around that sits the region's biggest economy: 6.6 million people, the manufacturing base global suppliers subsidise into (the state pays cash grants per job created), and a tech scene that Novi Sad's gaming studios and the 2022 relocation wave turned deep.
The founder math is friendly: a DOO registers at the APR in days with 100 dinars of capital, corporate tax is 15%, and the IP Box cuts qualifying IP income to an effective 3%, with a double R&D deduction stacking on top. As for the frame: the EU candidacy moves slowly, and Belgrade's balancing act between blocs is precisely what makes the trade bridge possible - the upside and the read are the same fact. The dinar floats under management, banks (Intesa, UniCredit, OTP, Raiffeisen) run EU-group compliance, and filings run in Serbian through our accountants.
One flag, four trade worlds: EU association, EAEU FTA, China FTA since 2024, Turkey and CEFTA - plus the region's biggest economy, per-job cash subsidies for manufacturers, and a tech scene the relocation wave made deep.
Founder math: DOO in days with RSD 100, 15% flat, IP Box cutting qualifying tech income to ~3% with double R&D deduction below. The EU candidacy crawls, the dinar is managed, and Belgrade's balance between blocs is both the read and the upside.

Can I open a Serbian company without visiting?+
Yes. With an apostilled power of attorney our Belgrade team handles the notary, translations and APR filing remotely. Banks onboard with real KYC - some by video, some prefer one meeting, often combined with a residence-permit trip where that's the plan.
How much does it cost?+
Turnkey registration starts from €1,700 including APR fees, translations and the first year of the registered address. With a bank account arranged, packages start from €3,000. Renewal with basic accounting runs from €1,400 a year.
What taxes will the company pay?+
15% on profits and 15% on dividends: about 28% all-in to the owner. Tech companies with qualifying IP cut the corporate side to an effective ~3% under the IP Box, and the R&D double deduction stacks below. VAT is 20% above the threshold. We model your exact numbers first.
How does the trade bridge actually work?+
Serbia holds simultaneous preferential access: the EU (association agreement), the Eurasian Economic Union, China (FTA since 2024), Turkey and CEFTA. One Serbian company can ship duty-friendly into markets that don't trade freely with each other. The catch is rules of origin - where your goods are «made» decides which door opens - and that analysis is the first thing we run for trading clients.
What is the IP Box worth?+
For qualifying IP income (registered software, patents developed here) 80% is excluded from the base, leaving an effective ~3% corporate rate, among the lowest legal rates for tech anywhere. Documentation and registration make or break it, so we build the file as you build the product.
What subsidies exist for manufacturers?+
The famous per-job cash grants: the state co-funds thousands of euros per position created (scaled by region and investment), plus 14 free zones with customs and VAT advantages. It is why global suppliers keep landing here. Grants are negotiated per project, a process we run alongside the incorporation.
Where is Serbia on the EU path?+
A candidate for years, moving slowly, and Belgrade's deliberate balancing between Brussels, Moscow and Beijing is the same fact that makes the trade bridge possible. We present it as it is: the politics are the read, the market access is the upside, and clients decide with open eyes.
How is banking?+
EU-group and solid: Banca Intesa, UniCredit, OTP and Raiffeisen run the market with RSD and EUR accounts under group compliance. Foreign-owned companies pass real KYC. The dinar floats under central-bank management - most contracts quote in euros, and we plan treasury accordingly.
Serbia or Macedonia / Bulgaria?+
Macedonia wins on flat-tax simplicity and TIDZ holidays; Bulgaria brings EU membership at 10/5. Serbia answers with the region's real market, the ~3% IP Box for tech, per-job subsidies for manufacturers and the four-way trade access nobody else has. The business model picks the flag; we read it with you.
How long does it take?+
The APR works in days: plan 3-7 business days from complete documents to a registered DOO with tax numbers, plus a few days for VAT. Banking adds one to two weeks. Subsidy and free-zone negotiations run their own calendar, started early when manufacturing is the plan.
